The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started accepting applications for Class 6 children Navodaya Admission Form 2025. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children for the 2025-26 academic year can now do so online from 16th July 2024. The goal of the NVS Entrance Exam 2024 is to determine talented students across the nation and provide them with an excellent education. The application period for the 2025-26 session is open until September 16, 2024. Applicants must be enrolled in Class 5 at a recognised school.
The Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam 2025 for Class 6 will be held offline, using pen and paper. The exam will be available in multiple languages, including English and Hindi, in order to meet students from different language backgrounds. The two-hour exam will evaluate the students’ knowledge and abilities.

Each Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya will have up to 80 seats available, and students will be chosen based on their exam results and scores. Applicants must make sure they upload all required documents properly as specified in the prospectus to avoid any issues during the application process.
JNVST Class 6 Eligibility Criteria 2025
To apply for Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 6 Admission for 2025-26, students must meet certain eligibility criteria.
- Students should be born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015 are eligible for admission.
- A valid birth certificate is required for proof, If there’s any doubt about a student’s age, a medical board’s decision will be final.
- Students must be in Class V during the 2024-25 school year in a government or government-recognized school in the same district where they want to apply.
- Only students who live in that district can apply, and they need to provide valid proof of residence.
- Students who passed Class V before the 2024-25 school year or who are repeating the class cannot apply.
- Navodaya Vidyalaya can check previous application data to identify repeat candidates and will not allow them to be admitted.
After clearing the JNVST Entrance Test 2025, candidates must submit the following documents to verify they are eligibility:
- Date of Birth Certificate
- Proofs of eligibility as per NVS conditions
- Residence certificate
- Class 4th and 5th marksheet
- Aadhaar Card
- Certificate from the Head Master
- Medical fitness certificate
- Disability certificate
- Category certificate, etc.
- The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 6 admissions in 2025 will be held in two phases.
- Phase 1 is scheduled for January 18, 2024, at 11:30 AM and Phase 2 will take place on April 12, 2025, at 11:30 AM.
- The admissions process covers 653 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across 27 states and 8 union territories.
- Eligible candidates are those studying in Class 5 during the 2024-25 academic year in a government-recognized school within the same district.
Here are the steps to apply for the Navodaya Admission Form 2025:
- Go to the official JNV portal at www.navodaya.gov.in in order to fill Navodaya Admission Form 2025.
- Now click on the “Admission” tab in the menu bar and from the drop-down menu under “Admission,” select “Admission Notification.”
- Now look for the JNV Class 6 application form for the academic year 2025-26 and click on the “Download” button to get the application form.
- Open the downloaded form, fill it out with the required details, and pay the application fee, submit the form and save the confirmation details for future.
